Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sanquelim, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, in collaboration with Rotaract Club Bicholim, Lions Club of Sanquelim and Sanquelim Municipal Council, organised an awareness campaign against the use of disposable paper cups for hot beverages.
The campaign aims to create awareness about the potential health and environmental concerns associated with the regular use of disposable paper cups for hot beverages and to encourage the adoption of safe, sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives.
As part of the campaign, awareness material highlighting the concerns associated with disposable paper cups and the benefits of reusable alternatives was prepared and disseminated among the community. The campaign also encourages individuals, offices and organisations to reduce their dependence on disposable cups and adopt more sustainable practices.
The initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and promotes responsible choices that contribute to a healthier community and a more sustainable environment.
